• sharp bacterial sinusitis;
• exacerbation of chronic bronchitis;
• community-acquired pneumonia;
• complicated infections of leather and soft tissues (in case of treatment of above-mentioned infections, medicament is used only when use of other antibacterial agents which usually appoint for initial treatment of these infections is impossible);
• complicated infections of urinary tract (including pyelonephritis);
• chronic bacterial prostatitis;
• uncomplicated cystitis;
• inhalation anthrax: post-contact prevention and treatment.

Structure

Active ingredient: levofloxacin;

1 tablet supports a levofloksatsin of the gemigidrat in terms of levofloxacin – 500 mg;

Excipients: krospovidon (poliplasdon XL), cellulose microcrystalline, potato starch, talc, a gipromeloza (hydroxypropyl-methyl cellulose), sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium stearate, mix for a covering of "Opadry II Yellow" 33G22507 krakhmalglikolit (type A), calcium (contains: triacetin; gipromeloza; lactose, monohydrate; titan dioxide (E 171); polyethyleneglycol; ferrous oxide yellow (E 172)).

Contraindication

• hypersensitivity to a levofloksatsin, other ftorkhinolona or to any component of medicine;
• epilepsy;

Route of administration

Pill Floksium is taken by 1-2 times a day. The dose depends on type, weight of an infection and sensitivity of the probable activator.

Floksium in this dosage form (tablet) can be applied to end of a course of therapy to patients who showed improvement in the course of primary Floksium medicament treatment, solution for injections, using at the same time the same doses.

Overdose

At simultaneous application with antagonists of vitamin K (for example with warfarin) was reported about increase in the international normalizing ratio (INR) and/or bleeding, which can be expressed.
