EKZEKANVREMENNY MANUAL on use of medicine of Eczekan of Ceva Sante Animale ("Seva to Santa Animal"), France for treatment of skin diseases at cats and dogs. 1. GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1. Eczekan. 1.2. Eczekan medicine as active ingredients contains: Dexamethasone - 1 mg, Niacinamide (RR vitamin) - 10 mg, the Pyridoxine a hydrochloride (B6 vitamin) - 50 mg, Methionine - 300 mg, Filler (sucrose) up to 8 g 1.3. Eczekan presents herself a soluble briquette in water in the form of a sugar cube of white color, weighing 8 g 1.4. Medicine is packaged on 8 cubes in hermetically closed plastic blisters which pack into cardboard boxes two blisters in everyone. Each packing is marked with the indication of the name and prescribing of medicine, amount, content of active ingredients, manufacturer, number of a series, an expiration date, storage conditions, by inscriptions "for animals" and supply with temporary manual on application. 1.5. Store Eczekan in the original packaging in the dry place, at a temperature of 10-25C. An expiration date 3 years from the date of production. 2. PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES 2.1. Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid with anti-inflammatory activity. It stabilizes permeability of cellular membranes and interferes with development of mediators of inflammatory process. Thanks to feature of the chemical building, dexamethasone has much bigger anti-inflammatory activity, than natural glucocorticoids. Dexamethasone is easily soaked up in intestines, spreads in fabrics (often in the form of a complex with proteins of plasma of blood), is removed with urine. 2.2. Niacinamide (RR vitamin) and a pyridoxine (B6 vitamin), play an important role in cellular kislitelno-recovery reactions, participate in processes of transamination, decarboxylation of amino acids. The pyridoxine is also a coenzyme in biochemical reactions of nervous tissue. Vitamins are easily soaked up in a small intestine and transported in cages. 2.3. Methionine is the vital amino acid which joins in various biochemical reactions and is metabolized in an organism in the form of numerous derivatives. Methionine is especially necessary for cells of a liver and for synthesis of a keratin. 3. ORDER of USE of MEDICINE. 3.1. Medicine is intended for treatment of sharp and chronic dermatitis and eczemas of not bacterial and not parasitic etiology at dogs and cats. 3.2. The sugar cube is fed from a hand of the owner or added to a forage or drinking water. The first 4 days treatment are spent in the following daily dosages: - cats and dogs weighing 1-5 kg - 0.5 cubes, - dogs weighing 5-15 kg - 1 cube, - dogs weighing 15-30 kg - 1.5 cubes, - dogs weighing 30 kg and above - 2 cubes. The next 8 days medicine is given on 1/2 from an initial dose. 3.3. Eczekan is not recommended to be used an animal at sharp viral diseases, diabetes and during pregnancy.
