Eutiroks – medicament of hormones for system use. Sodium left thyroxine.

Eutiroks of 25-200 mkg

• treatment of a benign euthyroid craw;
• prevention of a recurrence after operational treatment of an euthyroid craw depending on hormone level during the postoperative period;
• as replacement therapy at a hypothyroidism;
• suppressive therapy of cancer of thyroid gland.

Eutiroks of 25-100 mkg

• as auxiliary medicament when performing anti-thyroid therapy in a hyperthyroidism.

Eutiroks of 100/150/200 mkg

• as diagnostic means at test of thyroid suppression.

Structure

• active ingredient: sodium left thyroxine;
• 1 tablet contains left thyroxine of sodium 25 mkg or 50 mkg or 75 mkg or 100 mkg or 125 mkg or 150 mkg;
• other components: mannitol (E 421); corn starch; gelatin; sodium of a kroskarmeloz; anhydrous citric acid, magnesium stearate.

Contraindication

Increased individual sensitivity to medicament components.

Insufficiency of adrenal glands, hypophysial insufficiency, a thyrotoxicosis which were not treated.

Acute myocardial infarction, acute myocarditis, acute pancarditis.

Combination therapy by left thyroxine and anti-thyroid means during pregnancy is not appointed.

Route of administration

Recommended doses (sodium left thyroxine):

Treatment of a benign euthyroid craw – 75-200 mkg/days;

Prevention of a recurrence after operational treatment of an euthyroid craw – 75-200 mkg/days;

In replacement therapy of a hypothyroidism at adults:

• an initial dose – 25-50 mkg/days;
• a maintenance dose – 100-200 mkg/days;

In replacement therapy of a hypothyroidism at children:

• an initial dose – 12.5-50 mkg/days;
• a maintenance dose – 100-150 mkg/m 2 body surfaces;

As supportive application when performing anti-thyroid therapy of a hyperthyroidism – 50-100 mkg/days;

Supressivnaya therapy of cancer of thyroid gland – 150-300 mkg/days;

As diagnostic means at test of thyroid suppression:

• in two weeks prior to the test – two tablets a day;
• in one week prior to the test – two tablets a day.

Feature of use

with low doses of drug, gradually increasing a dosage at the beginning of therapy. It is recommended to observe a condition of the patient. In case of development of psychotic disorders it is necessary to consider the possibility of dose adjustment of left thyroxine.

Data on teratogenecity and/or a fetotoksichnost at administration of medicament in the recommended therapeutic doses is not present

. Reception of very high doses of left thyroxine during pregnancy can negatively affect a fruit and post-natal development of the child.

Data on potential impact on ability to run motor transport or to work with difficult mechanisms. However as left thyroxine on the action is identical to natural hormone of a thyroid gland, influence of the medicament Eutiroks on speed of response at control of motor transport or other mechanisms is not expected.

Overdose

At the symptoms which are shown in the form of the significant beta and sympathomimetic effects, such as tachycardia, concern, nervous exaltation, hyperkinesia are appointed by blockers a beta. At considerable exceeding a dose carrying out a plasma exchange is recommended.

Side effects

Symptoms: from a cardiovascular system: cardiac arrhythmias (atrial fibrillation, premature ventricular contraction), tachycardia, stenocardia, heartbeat, inflows; from nervous system: headaches, insomnia, feeling of alarm, brain psevdotumor, tremor; from a digestive tract: vomiting, diarrhea, degrowth of a body; from skin and a musculoskeletal system: the increased perspiration, muscle weakness and spasms; general disorders: fervescence; disorders of a menstrual cycle.
