"The Final Countdown" (Russian. "The last countdown") — the third studio album of the Swedish rock group Europe which left on May 26, 1986 on the American label of Epic Records.

The album is produced by the famous American producer Kevin Elson who already worked by then with such performers as Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Shooting Star.
Album received positive reviews from the leading musical editions. Allmusic gave to "The Final Countdown" four and a half stars from five. Dag Stones review of AllMusic finds the songs combining "the hot drive and hot giving" to unite "The Final Countdown" in a unique portrait of driving force and worthy addition to any hard rock collection".
"The Final Countdown" made great commercial success — only in the USA the quantity of the sold copies exceeded 3 million and received the threefold Platinum status, the double Platinum status in Canada, the Platinum status in France and the Gold status in the Netherlands and Great Britain there.
Album took the highest places 1 in Shchvetions charts, Finland, Spain and Switzerland of Swiss Albums Top 100. Singl of a header song of an album "The Final Countdown" of the same name took the highest position — 1 in charts of the countries of Europe. On the The Final Countdown hit song a musical video in which shots from two concerts of group 26 (day of official release of an album of group) and on the covered Solnahallen arena in the capital of Sweden — Stockholm are presented on May 27, 1986 and also additional frames of soundchecks at these concerts was shot. "Love Chaser" was released as a single only in Japan and was a soundtrack to the movie "Pride One". "Rock the Night" was released as the world following single "The Final Countdown". It was included in the top ten in Germany, Holland, France, Ireland, Italy and Switzerland. The following single "Carrie" took the 3rd place in Billboard Hot 100 which is the high-necessariest single in charts of the USA today. "Cherokee" was released as the last single from an album, having reached 72 lines in Billboard Hot 100. Vs singles of an album "The Final Countdown" became hits, and music videos to them were widely broadcast on musical television. In 1987 the group appeared in the known Soviet musical television program "Morning Mail" specially having arrived for 1 day from Sweden to Moscow on shooting. Participants of collective stepped on the stage and sang 3 songs: "The Final Countdown", "Carrie", "Rock the Night". Eight of ten tracks of an album were included into the comedy movie of 2007 "Hot Rod". Europe is in a holder of a world hard rock also now.
