Active ingredient: the difengidramina a hydrochloride

Structure

• 1 g of ointment 20 mg of a difengidramin of a hydrochloride;
• additional substances: peanut butter, wax white, cetyl alcohol, paraffin, paraffin white soft, methylparahydroxybenzoate (E 218), glycerin, gostatserin T 3, polysorbate 80, isobornyl acetate, sodium hydroxide, water purified.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics. Dermadrin contains a blocker of n1-receptors difengidramin which selectively oppresses histamine n1-receptors. Difengidramin is the effective antihistamine eliminating manifestations of an allergy and an itching; in addition possesses the mestnoanesteziruyushchy and anesthetizing action. Effectively eliminates hypostasis and irritation after stings of insects and bees, in solar and thermal burns, a photodermatosis. A basis of ointment is the oil-water emulsion which causes the cooling effect of drug. At topical administration, active ingredient of ointment gets into skin and hypodermics. The antipruritic and analgesic effect occurs right after putting ointment and lasts 2–6 h

Pharmacokinetics. After drawing on skin therapeutic effective concentration remains directly in the site of application. Quantity of a difengidramin which is soaked up through skin, in direct ratio to the size of field of drawing and the period of contact with Dermadrin ointment skin. At absorption of a difengidramin through skin the system effect of medicament is absent.

Indication

Allergic dermatitis; pruritic dermatosis; dermatitis with local painful manifestations; small tortoiseshell; eczema; stings of insects; thermal and sunblisters of i of degree; photodermatosis (solar allergy).

Use

Outwardly on skin. depending on site size the defeats are recommended to be inflicted in quantity from the cherry size to walnut that makes 1–3 g

Adult: to put 4–6 times a day. Children at the age of 2–12 years: 4–5 times a day. It is not recommended to apply more than 15 g of ointment of Dermadrin a day. Duration of treatment depends on extent of defeat.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to a difengidramin to a hydrochloride or to other antihistamines; age up to 2 years. ointment dermadrin is not recommended to be applied on open wounds and on big zones of the affected skin, especially in a varicosis, measles, vesicular damages of skin.

Special instructions

to Avoid

hits of medicament in eyes. because of a possibility of development of reactions of photosensitivity it is necessary to avoid hit of direct sunlight on sites of skin on which ointment dermadrin is applied.

Use during pregnancy and feeding by a breast

Dermadrin Ointment is not recommended to be applied in the I trimester of pregnancy. With care it is necessary to apply in II and III trimester of pregnancy. During feeding by a breast it is necessary to remember a possibility of hit of active ingredient of ointment of a difengidramin of a hydrochloride in mother's milk.
