More convenient location of the camera. We created the smallest webcam in the world with permission of HD (only 2.25 mm) which is placed in the top part of the magnificent InfinityEdge display — now on the center.

Revolutionary design of the webcam. The camera of the new laptop of XPS 13 became not only less, but also it is better. The new lens is equipped with four lenses (it more, than in normal webcams) and provides the high definition of the image on all shot. The technology of temporary noise reduction considerably increases quality of video, especially in scenes with weak lighting. Assembly of a lens is carried out on the high-precision equipment therefore each millimeter of the image remains in focus.

Convenient opening of a cover. The new design of the hinge with variable torque allows to open easily a laptop cover one hand. It also does the screen to steadier, even when you are in the movement or use the optional touch screen.

Incredibly qualitative image

Enjoy the screen which seems boundless: thanks to InfinityEdge technology we could enter the screen with a diagonal of 13.3" in the case typical for 11-inch models. Besides, the IPS panel provides wider angle of the overview that allows at once several people to look at the screen, without missing any detail.

Killer™ AX1650 Adapter on the basis of a set of chips of Intel Wi-Fi 6. Thanks to support of advanced technology Wi-Fi 6 with a theoretical throughput up to 2.4 Gbps the Killer AX1650 adapter is almost three times faster, than devices of the previous generation with support 80 MHz and 2x2 AC. The adapter assigns the corresponding priorities to stream video, data exchange and game traffic in a system, ensuring fast and smooth functioning on the Internet.

Tremendous durability. The XPS 13 case is much more reliable than combined cases — it is executed of a uniform array of aluminum. Support materials for wrists — the fiber glass and carbon fiber borrowed from the aerospace industry — were selected for the high strength and small weight. Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4 glass is twice more resistant to damages in comparison with products of competitors.

Anything superfluous. From the esthetic point of view the laconicism is always plus. Therefore we inlaid a cover with the XPS logo from stainless steel, placed the technical information by method of a laser engraving and supplied the laptop with legs under color of the case to give it elegance. The light platinum-silvery coloring looks especially effectively.

Unprecedented efficiency of cooling. XPS 13 — the first laptop manufactured using GORE™ thermal insulation. Heat conductivity of this thin and flexible material is lower, than at air. Thermal insulation of Gore provides heat extraction, and two fans and thermal tubes promote further cooling of the laptop of XPS that allows to achieve high performance when saving small thickness of the device.

Activation by voice. The laptop of XPS 13 reacts to your voice at distance up to 14 feet thanks to four built-in microphones and recognition technology of the speech with the Waves and Microsoft® Cortana support. Manage playlists and open schedules irrespective of ambient noises.
