Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics. Deep Relief — the combined medicine for external use containing an ibuprofen and menthol of natural origin. the ibuprofen — derivative compound of fenilpropionovy acid — is the representative of group npvp, possesses the anesthetic, anti-inflammatory action caused by oppression prostaglandin-sintetazy. effect of left menthol, optical isomer of menthol, is caused by the reflex reactions connected with irritation of sensitive nerve terminations in skin. menthol stimulates skin nociceptors. release of the peptides having vasodilating effect results. medicine renders Deep Relief distracting, irritant action also relieves pain.

Pharmacokinetics. The ibuprofen at topical administration is well and quickly soaked up through skin. Gets to a system blood-groove in very insignificant quantity. The C _max an ibuprofen in blood plasma is reached in 2 h after use of medicine and makes 0.6 mkg/ml. The size of absorption of an ibuprofen at topical administration is ≈5% of size of absorption at oral administration.

Indication

is recommended to apply Deep Relief to pain relief and reduction of inflammation at rheumatic, muscular and articulate pain, at backbone pain and also at pain and hypostases at damage, sprain and sports injuries.

Use

Only for external use. the soldered opening of a tuba needs to be punctured with a thorn which is in the top external part of a cap.

At each application to use 1–4 cm of gel from the tuba containing 50 or 100 g of gel, and 4–10 cm from a tuba, containing 15 g of gel. To apply gel on the painful site with the subsequent easy rubbing in before full absorption. In case of need to apply up to 3 times a day, but is not more often than in each 4 h. If in 2 weeks of improvement of a state it is not observed, it is necessary to see a doctor. It is impossible to apply a bandage to the site of application of gel.

Children. Deep Relief is contraindicated for application for children aged up to 12 years.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to an ibuprofen, left menthol, acetylsalicylic acid or any component of medicine or others npvp (including oral administration); oh and existence in the anamnesis of attacks oh, a small tortoiseshell or the sharp rhinitis caused by intake of acetylsalicylic acid or others npvp; application on damaged or bared (without epithelium) skin; simultaneous application on the same area with other medicines for topical administration; presence of a local infection.

Side effects

Following side reactions can arise as local side reactions: irritation of skin, rash, itch, reddening, xeroderma, burning sensation, contact dermatitis and small tortoiseshell.

from a digestive tract, though are improbable: an abdominal pain, dyspepsia and a renal failure at persons with existence in the anamnesis of diseases of kidneys.

At treatment by an ibuprofen noted such reactions of hypersensitivity:

a) nonspecific allergic reactions and anaphylaxis;

b) of hypersensitivity reaction from airways, including OH, aggravation OH, a bronchospasm and an asthma, it is possible to expect at patients with existence in the anamnesis or now ill OH or allergic diseases;

c) rash, an itch, urticaria, purple, a Quincke's disease and it is rare — a bubbly dermatosis (including an epidermal necrolysis and a polymorphic erythema).

Special instructions

Drug contains propylene glycol which can cause irritation of skin therefore before application it is necessary to check sensitivity on the small site of skin.

to Patients with a renal failure and with an active form of stomach ulcer and a duodenum before use of medicine should consult with the doctor.

gel near a mucous membrane, on lips, nostrils, sites near eyes, genitals and an anus and also on the injured or angry skin. In case of hit of gel on above-mentioned sites it is necessary to wash away immediately medicine a large amount of clear water.

After use of gel always hands if they are not object of treatment.

When swallowing medicine to the patient needs to see immediately a doctor or to the next emergency room.

Should stop use of medicine in case of appearance of rash or irritation.

Undesirable reactions can be reduced by use of a minimal effective dose during the shortest possible period.

At emergence of any undesirable effects and also in case of lack of improvement or at aggravation of symptoms to the patient it is necessary to see a doctor.

Use of an ibuprofen, as well as other medicines suppressing synthesis of COG/prostaglandins can break fertility. Women who cannot become pregnant or who pass a research on fertility should refuse use of medicine.

Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast. Drug is not recommended to be used in I and II trimester of pregnancy or during feeding by a breast. Drug is contraindicated in the III trimester of pregnancy as in case of sufficient system concentration there is a risk of a delay of childbirth, premature closing of an arterial channel, increase in probability of manifestation of bleeding at mother and the child and increase in risk of hypostases at mother.

Ability to influence speed of response at control of vehicles or work with other mechanisms. Not established.

Interaction

At simultaneous application with acetylsalicylic acid or other medicines of group npvp the risk of emergence of side effects increases. npvp can interact with the medicines intended for decrease hell and can strengthen influence of anticoagulants though such probability for medicines of local action very low.

Incompatibility. Not to apply with other medicines of topical administration.

At topical administration the overdose is improbable

. the symptoms caused by action of an ibuprofen: nausea, headache, drowsiness, arterial hypotonia, vomiting. correction of electrolytic balance is shown.

Storage conditions

At a temperature not above 25 °C.
