Dose and a method of application
Baytril 5% enter injection solution to calfs and dogs hypodermically, to pigs intramuscularly in the following doses: to calfs and pigs — 1 ml on 20 kg of mass of an animal (2.5 mg of enrofloxacin on 1 kg of weight) once a day within 3 – 5 days, to sows at a syndrome a mastitis-metritis-agalaxia — within 1 – 2 days; to dogs — 1 ml on 10 kg of mass of an animal (5 mg of enrofloxacin on 1 kg of weight) once a day within 5 days, at the chronic and hard proceeding diseases — up to 10 days. Due to the possible painful reaction, drug should not be injected to one place a large animal in the volume exceeding 5 ml and a small animal in the volume exceeding 2.5 ml. If within 3 – 5 days there is no noticeable clinical improvement, it is recommended to carry out a repeated inspection on sensitivity of the microorganisms allocated from a sick animal to ftorkhinolona or to replace Baytril with other antibacterial medicine.
Side effects
In some cases perhaps short-term dysfunction of digestive tract. There can be a reddening in an injection point, disappearing spontaneously.
Contraindication
Hypersensibility to enrofloxacin and other hinolona. It is forbidden to appoint to puppies in the first year of life, before the end of the period of their growth, to females during pregnancy and a lactation, at significant violations of development of cartilaginous tissue, damages of nervous system which are followed by spasms and also at allocation from a sick animal of the microorganisms resistant to ftorkhinolona. Simultaneous application of Baytril with levomitsetiny, macroleads, tetracyclines, theophylline and nonsteroid resolvents is not allowed.
Special instructions Slaughter of animals on meat is allowed to
not earlier than in 14 days after the last use of medicine. Meat of animals, forcedly killed before the expiration of an established period, can be used for feeding of fur animals or for production of meat and bone meal.
