"I Know (You Dont Love Me No More)" is the rhythm-and-blues song written and executed by the American singer Barbara George. Byla is let out as her debut single at the end of 1961. Became its signature song and its only main hit in the United States, having reached peak on 1 place in a chart of the singles Billboard R & B and on the 3rd place in Pop Singles chart. Covers on it made The Newbeats, Cher, Ike and Tina Turner, Bonnie Raitt, Ann Murray, Steve Marriott, Yvonne Feyr, Felders Orioles and also Marisela released in 1988 the version in Spanish. The Shirelles borrowed a melody for the cover of 1963 of "Everybody Loves A Lover". Barbara George began to sing
at teenage age in choir of Baptist church and to write own original songs. Having already married at the age of 16 years, she made friends with the performer of R & B Jesse Hill which arranged it listening with the beginning label of AFO of the saxophonist and arranger Harold Battista. In June, 1961 Baptiste organized record for George and her colleague on AFO Prince L L in J & M studio of the producer Cosimo Matassy. With assistance of studio musicians from New Orleans, including the kornetist of Melvin Lesti, the guitarist Roy Montrell and the drummer John Boudreau, George wrote down the "I Know (You Dont Love Me No More)" in bright, accelerated, inspired by the traditional anthem "Just a Closer Walk with Thee". Sue Records of Dzhaggi Murray published on AFO with assistance of a national distribyutor, the song got on radio and to retail at the end of 1961 and became a national hit, having headed charts of R & B in the USA and having ranked third in Billboard pop chart.
