Baraton – inhibitor of angiotensin-converting enzyme (APF).

Indications

• treatment of arterial hypertension.
• prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
• treatment of diseases of kidneys.
• treatment of simptomny heart failure.
• secondary prevention after the postponed acute myocardial infarction.

Structure

• active ingredient: ramiprit (ramipril);
• each tablet contains 10 mg of a ramipril;
• other components: the hydroxypropyl cellulose low-substituted, a mannitol (E 421), calcium a carbonate, the stearylfumarating sodium, ferrous oxide yellow (E 172).

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to active ingredient or to any of the excipients which are a part of medicament or other APF inhibitors.

Existence in the anamnesis of a Quincke's disease (the hereditary, idiopathic or earlier postponed against the background of use APF inhibitors or antagonists of receptors of angiotensin II).

Simultaneous use with sakubitrilom/valsartany.

Simultaneous use of the extracorporal methods of treatment leading to contact of blood with negatively charged surfaces.

Pregnancy and planning of pregnancy.

Route of administration

Drug is used orally.

daily at the same time. The medicament can be taken irrespective of food as consumption of food does not affect bioavailability of drug. Tablets on 5 mg are intended for distribution in half for receiving a dose of 2.5 mg. They cannot be chewed or crushed. In case of purpose of a dose of 1.25 mg it is necessary to use medicaments of a ramipril with a possibility of such dosage.

Drug is contraindicated to be used to pregnant women.

Ramipril is not recommended to apply

to children up to 18 years as data on efficiency and safety of use of this medicament for such patients are not enough.

Drivers

After reception of the first dose or the subsequent increase in a dose it is not desirable for p to run the vehicle or to work with other mechanisms within several hours.

Overdose

overdose Symptoms APF inhibitors can include an excessive peripheral vazodilatation (with the profound arterial hypotension, shock), bradycardia, disturbance of electrolytic balance, a renal failure.

Side effects

from blood and lymphatic system: eosinophilia, insufficiency of marrow, pancytopenia, hemolytic anemia.

from the immune system: anaphylactic and anaphylactoid reactions, increase in level of antinuclear antibodies.

from an endocrine system: syndrome inadequate secretions of antidiuretic hormone.

Metabolic and alimentary disturbances: increase in level of potassium in blood, anorexia, a loss of appetite.
