Structure

Active ingredients: cinnarizine; dimenhydrinatum;

1 tablet contains cinnarizine 20 mg and dimenhydrinatum of 40 mg;

Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch corn, talc, gipromelloza, silicon dioxide colloidal, magnesium stearate, sodium of a kroskarmelloz.

Contraindication

• Allergic reactions to active ingredients, difengidramin or other antihistamines of similar structure or on any excipient.
• Heavy renal failures.
• Heavy abnormal liver functions.
• Glaucoma.
• Suspicion on the increased intracranial pressure.
• Alcoholism.
• Ischuria caused by violations from an urethra and a prostate.
• Spasm (for example eclampsia, epilepsy), bad attack of asthma, pheochromocytoma, porphyria.

Route of administration

Adult. On 1 tablet 3 times a day after a meal, without chewing, washing down with a small amount of liquid.

Patients of advanced age. Dose adjustment is not required.

Overdose

To symptoms of overdose of Arlevert® possess drowsiness, dizziness and an ataxy in combination with such manifestations of anticholinergic action as dryness in a mouth, face reddening, expansion of pupils, tachycardia, fever, a headache and an ischuria. There can be also such complications as spasms, hallucinations, excitement, respiratory depression, arterial hypertension, a tremor and a coma (especially in case of heavy overdose).

Treatment. In case of respiratory depression or a sharp circulatory unefficiency the patient should appoint maintenance therapy. It is recommended to wash a stomach with normal saline solution of sodium chloride. It is necessary to watch closely the body temperature as intoxication antihistamines can give fever (especially at children).

Side effects

Side reactions, were most often observed when conducting clinical trials, were the confusion of consciousness (including drowsiness, feeling of fatigue, fatigue, devocalization) observed in 8% of the patients participating in clinical trials and also dryness in a mouth which was observed in 5% of the patients participating in clinical trials.
