Apocalyptica is the fifth studio album of the Finnish Apocalyptica group released in 2005. The first album of group which included tracks with a vocal — "Life Burns", "Bittersweet", "En Vie" and "Betrayal/Forgiveness". Earlier vocal options of own tool compositions Apocalyptica were published only in singlovy option. The Finnish vocalists The Rasmus and Ville Valo (HIM) and also the French singer Emmanuel Manu took part in record of songs. Also the Slayer group drummer Dave Lombardo took part in recording of the album. In support of an album three singles were released: "Bittersweet", "Wie Weit" and "Life Burns", on all three songs were shot the videos broadcast on MTV. The Bittersweet song became the main musical subject of a computer game Die Siedler: Das Erbe Der Konige.
in support of an album Apocalyptica held a world tour, in March having for the first time visited the USA and South America and also having acted together with Rammstein. In total in 2005 the group won back more than 150 shows in dozens of the countries of Europe and America. In November the group gave several concerts in the different cities of Russia.
