"Sambuca" Set of spices for strong drink (3 l)

Sambuca is a traditional Italian drink: sweet but not cloying, combining the refreshing tones of lemon and anise. The drink is moderately viscous, has a delicate aroma and a long aftertaste.

Sambuca Recipe

For everything you will need:

2.6 liters of strong drink 40-45%
Hot Rod spice set for Sambuca style drink (set designed for 3 liters of finished product)
Sugar – 450 g
Water – 300 ml
The drink is easy to prepare. Place the water in a saucepan, add a set of spices, bring to a boil and add sugar. Cook, stirring, until the sugar dissolves, then hold on the lowest heat for another 15 minutes. Now alcohol is poured directly into the hot mixture. Everything is covered with a lid and infused for about an hour; the saucepan can be additionally wrapped in a towel.

Strain the completely cooled liquid through cheesecloth (not very carefully), pour into an airtight container. You can try it now, but it’s better to let it brew for a week or two. After resting, if necessary, filter the drink again using cotton wool and that’s it – homemade anise liqueur is ready!
