"Gdansk Tatar Potion" Set of spices for strong drink (3 l)

Adam Mickiewicz repeatedly mentions in his poems the so-called “Gdańsk strong drink” - in “Pan Tadeusz”, for example, it is drunk after a bear hunt. This is not just a strong drink, but a tincture of roots and herbs, produced in ancient times by the Dutch who lived in the free city of Gdansk. Calamus is popularly called angel grass, Tatar potion, and this is where the name comes from.

Set of spices for the strong drink Gdanskaya Tatar Potion

Pour the spices from the set into a container and pour 3.6 liters of strong drink 40%.
Infuse for 10 days in a warm, dark place.
Filter and dilute the infusion to a strength of 30%.
Distill the infusion to a strength of 45-50% in a stream.
The resulting product is diluted with water to a strength of 40%.
To soften, add a tablespoon of sugar (preferably in syrup form).
After 2-3 days of rest, the drink will be ready.

If using a gin basket, use 10 liters of 30% alcohol.
Select the first 100 g of heads separately.
Collect the body to 50% strength in a stream.
Dilute the resulting product to 40% and let it rest for 5-7 days.
The estimated amount of the final drink is about 6 liters.
