Pharmacodynamics. active ingredient of tablets of an altabor is substance of dry extract of compound fruits of an alder sulfur and an alder bonding which contains mix of ellagotanin mono - and oligomerous origin on the basis of phenolic acids (ellagic, gallic, a dilactone of valoniyevy acid). these polyphenolic connections have the significant antiviral properties concerning an influenza virus, vesicular stomatitis and a herpes simplex. the mechanism of antiviral action of an altabor consists in interferon synthesis induction, oppression of activity of a neuraminidase of an influenza virus and also a virus-specific thymidinekinase of a virus of herpes that leads to the termination of synthesis of virus DNA. additional pharmacological properties of an altabor is a wide range of antibacterial action rather gram-positive (staphylococcus aureus, bacillus subtilis) and gram-negative (escherichia coli, pseudomonas aeruginosa, proteus mirabilis, klebsiella) microorganisms. the significant antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, membrane stabilizing and analgeziruyushchy effects enhance pharmacotherapeutic properties of medicament at treatment of a SARS and flu which very often are complicated by a bacterial infection and are followed by inflammation and pain.

Contraindication

At use of an altabor the developing of nausea, a sadneniye of a soft palate and allergic reactions, including rash, an itching, a dermahemia, urticaria is possible

Special instructions

cannot appoint Drug in combination with Almagelum, medicaments of bismuth, iron and other medicines which contain ions of metals.

Drug contains sorbite therefore patients with rare hereditary intolerance of fructose should not apply it.

Use during pregnancy and feeding by a breast. Clinical data on efficiency and safety of use of medicament during pregnancy are absent therefore Altabor is contraindicated to this category of patients. In need of use of medicament for the women nursing the breastfeeding should be stopped.

Children. Clinical data on efficiency and safety of use of medicament for children are absent therefore children should not appoint Altabor aged up to 14 years.

Ability to influence speed of response at control of vehicles and work with other mechanisms. There are no data.

Interaction

Because of a polyphenolic basis of a tablet of an altabor are formed by complexes with salts of metals (such as aluminum, bismuth, iron) that leads to loss of pharmacological activity of drug.

Overdose

At hypersensitivity to medicament components the overdose can cause skin allergic reactions.

Treatment. It is necessary to stop administration of drug. It is recommended to cause vomiting or to carry out gastric lavage. Symptomatic treatment is shown.

In original packing at a temperature not above 25 °C.
