Pharmacological properties

Antialcoholic, disintoxication, hepatoprotective means. activates the liver enzymes participating in ethanol metabolism (alcohol dehydrogenase and an atsetaldegiddegidrogenaza) that promotes acceleration of process of removal of ethanol and ethyl aldehyde from an organism, reducing their toxic influence. increases resistance of hepatocytes to products of the peroxide oxidation of lipids induced by influence of various toxic agents, in particular ethanol. prevents accumulation of fats in hepatocytes that prevents formation of fat infiltration of a liver. interferes with formation of fibronectin and collagen that slows down process of formation of cirrhosis.

sincaline - and GABA-ergic Activates neuromediator systems therefore functions of thinking and short memory improve. Interferes with emergence of the motive excitement caused by ethanol. Has nonspecific antidepressive and anxiolytic effect, reduces inclination to alcohol. Reduces time of knocking over of an abstinence syndrome, reduces mental and somatic manifestations of a hungover syndrome.

in a GIT, has high bioavailability (60–80%). Linking with proteins of blood plasma makes about 50%. It is metabolized in a liver with formation of active metabolites — pyridine and pirrolidon carboxylate. T _½ metadoksina at intake or at parenteral administration makes 40–60 min. 45–50% of a metadoksin 35–50% are removed with urine during 24 h — with a stake during 96 h

Indication

Reduction of toxic effect of alcohol. sharp drunkenness (easy and average degree). alcoholic abstinence syndrome. alcoholism. complex therapy of diseases of a liver, especially alcoholic etiology.

Use

Drug is appointed the adult inside.

For reduction of toxic effect of alcohol: 2 tablets in 30–60 min. prior to alcohol intake or 1 tablet in 30–60 min. prior to alcohol intake and 1 tablet within 30 min. after alcohol intake.

In a sharp drunkenness of easy and average degree, an alcoholic abstinence syndrome — on 1 tablet 2 times a day in 15–30 min. prior to food, a dose it is possible to raise to 3 tablets a day. A therapy course — 3–7 days depending on a condition of the patient.

At complex therapy of diseases of a liver and an alcoholism: on 1 tablet 2 times a day in 15–30 min. prior to food. The maximum daily dose — 3 tablets. A therapy course — not less than 90 days.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to any of medicine components.

Side effects

Allergic reactions.

Special instructions

Metadoksin reduces therapeutic effect of a levodopa therefore it should be applied with care at Parkinson's disease against the background of therapy by a levodopa.

At the conditions of a heavy drunkenness which are followed by a loss of consciousness, pernicious vomiting, etc., oral administration of medicines is inexpedient.

Use during pregnancy and feeding by a breast. Do not apply.

Children. It is not necessary to apply to children due to the lack of experience of application in this age group.

Ability to influence speed of response at control of vehicles or work with other mechanisms. Does not influence.

Interaction

At the combined application metadoksin, in view of strengthening of decarboxylation of a levodopa, reduces its therapeutic effectiveness.

Overdose

About overdose of a metadoksin it was not reported.
