tablets "Alerzin" are applied to symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis (including year-round allergic rhinitis) and small tortoiseshells.

Structure

Active ingredient - a levotsetirizina dihydrochloride (one tablet contains 5 mg of a levotsetirizin of dihydrochloride that corresponds to 4.21 mg of a levotsetirizin).

Excipients: cellulose silicon microcrystalline, the hydroxypropyl cellulose low-substituted, lactoses monohydrate, magnesium stearate; structure of a cover: Opadry II 33G28523 white (gipromelloza, titan dioxide (E 171), macrogoal 3350, triacetin, lactoses monohydrate).

Contraindication

• hypersensitivity to a levotsetirizin, a tsetirizin, Hydroxyzinum, to any other derivatives of piperazin or to any other excipient of medicine;
• severe form of chronic kidney disease (clearance of creatinine <10 ml/minute);
• rare hereditary diseases of intolerance of a galactose, lactose intolerance or violation of digestion of glucose and galactose.

Recommended doses:

• adults and children are more senior than 12 years - the daily dose makes 5 mg (one tablet, coated) 1 time a day;
• children aged from 6 up to 12 years - the recommended daily dose of 5 mg (one tablet, coated).

For children cannot adjust from 2nd to 6 years medicine doses in a dosage form of a tablet.

Way of use: to take a pill inside, irrespective of meal. It is necessary to swallow of a tablet entirely, washing down with a small amount of water. It is recommended to apply a daily dose at one time.

Patients with periodic allergic rhinitis (duration of manifestations of symptoms of a disease is less than 4 days a week or within less than 4 weeks in a year) should treat according to a disease and the anamnesis; treatment can be stopped if symptoms disappear, and it is possible to restore again at repeated emergence of symptoms. In case of steady allergic rhinitis (duration of symptoms of a disease is more than 4 days a week and within more than 4 weeks in a year) during contact with allergens the continuous therapy can be offered the patient. There is a clinical experience of application of a levotsetirizin during not less 6-month period of treatment.

In chronic diseases (chronic allergic rhinitis, a chronic small tortoiseshell) up to one year (data are available on clinical trials at application of a tsetirizin (racemate)).

not to use Drug in the form of tablets to children up to 6 years as this dosage form does not allow to carry out necessary correction of the mode of dosing. Application of a levotsetirizin in the dosage form suitable for application in pediatrics is recommended to this category of patients.

Overdose

Symptoms

Symptoms of overdose can include drowsiness at adults and initial excitement and acrimony with the subsequent drowsiness at children.

Treatment

Specific antidote to a levotsetirizin. In case of symptoms of overdose the symptomatic and maintenance therapy is recommended. It is necessary to consider need of gastric lavage through short time after administration of drug. The hemodialysis for removal of a levotsetirizin from an organism is not effective.

from nervous system: drowsiness, headache, increased fatigue, weakness, adynamy, spasms, paresthesia, dizziness, syncope, tremor, dysgeusia.

from mentality: sleep disorder, excitement, hallucinations, depression, aggression, insomnia, suicide thoughts, bad dreams.

from heart: the strengthened heartbeat, tachycardia.

from organs of sight: disorder of vision, illegibility of sight, okulogiration.

from organs of hearing and balance: vertigo.

from a liver and biliary tract: hepatitis.

from kidneys and an urinary system: dysuria, ischuria.

from the immune system: hypersensitivity, including anaphylaxis.

from the respiratory system, bodies of a thorax and mediastinum: short wind.

from digestive tract: diarrhea, vomiting, a lock, dryness in a mouth, nausea, an abdominal pain.

from skin and hypodermic fabrics: Quincke's disease, steady medicamentous rashes, itch, rash, small tortoiseshell.

from a musculoskeletal system, connective tissue and bones: myalgia, arthralgia.

Disturbance of food and metabolism: the increased appetite.

It was reported about an itching after cancellation of a levotsetirizin.
