At inhalation application, system effects of effect of alcohol are possible. Its therapeutic action as defoaming agent begins in 10–15 minutes, and full therapeutic action — in 1 hour

Indication.

Septil is applied generally as external local irritative and antiseptic to treatment of furuncles, felons, infiltrates, mastitis at early stages. apply as an antiseptic agent to surgical treatment of hands of surgeons. apply as defoaming agent at an alveolar fluid lungs. as revellent is applied to rubdowns and compresses.

Feature of application.

For compresses and rubdowns (for the purpose of prevention of a burn) should dissolve ethanol with water in the ratio 1:1.

during inhalation use of ethanol for avoidance of its intensive absorption and emergence of excitement needs to inhale each 30–35 minutes oxygen or oxygen air mixture.

Interaction with other medicines and other types of interactions.

At use of ethanol internally along with nitrofurans notes increase in toxicity of the last. at simultaneous use of ethanol and oral protidiabetichesky means (derivatives of sulphanilic acid) the development of a hypoglycemic coma is possible. ethanol reduces efficiency of thiamine, increases risk of developing of stomach ulcer at a combination to acetylsalicylic acid. at joint reception with sleeping medicines of different groups the breath complication is observed.
